Healthcare & Clean Room Filtration
HEPA filters, BIBO containment, laminar flow, and fan filter units.
Overview
What it does
Flow Dynamics supplies HEPA filters and cleanroom filtration for hospitals, pharmaceutical plants and laboratories across the UAE. Critical-environment filtration covers the full envelope: HEPA and ULPA panels rated H13 to U15, bag-in / bag-out (BIBO) containment housings for hazardous exhaust, laminar flow diffusers for operating theatres, and self-contained fan filter units (FFUs) for modular cleanrooms. Each component is individually DOP-tested, certified to ISO 14644 and EN 1822, and shipped with traceable documentation.
How it works
The working principle
A HEPA filter is a densely pleated glass-fibre media that captures 99.97–99.9995% of 0.3 μm particles through three physical mechanisms, inertial impaction of large particles, interception of mid-range particles that brush the fibres, and Brownian-diffusion capture of ultrafine particles bouncing between fibres. In an operating theatre, laminar flow diffusers push filtered air downward in a unidirectional curtain over the surgical field, sweeping contaminants away from the wound. BIBO housings allow loaded filters to be withdrawn into a sealed polythene bag so contaminated media never contacts the operator.
Applications
Where it's used
Typical installations across the UAE and wider Gulf include:
- Hospital operating rooms and isolation suites
- Pharmaceutical compounding and aseptic fill lines
- Semiconductor and microelectronics cleanrooms
- Biosafety level 2 and 3 containment labs
- Nuclear medicine and PET facilities
- Automotive paint booth final filtration

FAQ
Common questions
What HEPA grade does a hospital operating theatre need?
Most UAE healthcare specifications call for H13 or H14 terminal filtration per EN 1822, delivered through laminar flow diffusers over the surgical field. We supply against your consultant specification and provide individually scan-tested certificates per filter.
What is a BIBO housing and when is it required?
Bag-in / bag-out housings let a loaded filter be withdrawn into a sealed bag so the operator never contacts contaminated media. They are specified on hazardous exhaust: isolation rooms, BSL labs, pharma containment and morgue exhaust.
Which filters and housings does my project need?
Send us the application, airflow or demand figures, and any consultant specification. Our engineers reply with a defended selection, datasheets and submittal documentation. Sizing is always confirmed by an engineer, never by a web calculator.
