What it does
Flow Dynamics supplies electric water heaters for residential and commercial projects across the UAE. Storage electric water heaters are the workhorse of domestic and small-commercial hot water supply in the Gulf. The range covers vertical and horizontal wall-mount tanks from 10 to 300 litres, floor-standing models to 1,000 litres, and under-sink point-of-use units. All tanks use glass-lined or enamel-coated steel with a magnesium sacrificial anode for long service life in hard, salty Gulf water, and a high-limit safety thermostat backed by a pressure-temperature relief valve.
How it works
The working principle
Cold water enters the tank through a dip tube that discharges at the bottom. A calibrated thermostat switches an immersion heating element on when temperature falls below setpoint. The element heats the water, which rises by convection and stratifies, hot water accumulates at the top, where the outlet pipe draws it off. A magnesium anode rod inside the tank corrodes preferentially to the steel, protecting the vessel wall. Modern units add ECO thermostat modes, smart timers, and Wi-Fi control for off-peak electricity use.

Common questions
Why does Gulf water need anode protection?
UAE water is hard and often saline, which attacks tank steel. A magnesium sacrificial anode corrodes preferentially to the vessel wall; combined with glass lining it is what delivers long tank life here.
