What it does

Flow Dynamics is an HVLS fan supplier for warehouses and large spaces across the UAE. HVLS (High Volume Low Speed) fans are large-diameter ceiling fans, typically 3 to 7.3 m, that move huge volumes of air at low rpm to destratify warehouses, gyms, workshops, and showrooms. A single HVLS fan can replace dozens of small high-speed fans, cut HVAC energy use in summer by improving perceived comfort, and eliminate winter heat stratification in uninsulated sheds. The units are common across UAE logistics hubs, car showrooms, and large prayer halls.

How it works

The working principle

A permanent-magnet or geared motor turns airfoil-profile blades at 50–70 rpm. The slow, wide sweep produces a column of air that descends to the floor, spreads horizontally in all directions, and gently rises along the walls, a continuous large-scale convection loop that destratifies the space and creates a cooling breeze on occupants. Because the blades are wide and slow, noise is minimal and the downdraft is comfortable rather than turbulent. In air-conditioned spaces, HVLS operation lets the thermostat be raised 2–3 °C for the same comfort level.

Common questions

How much area does one HVLS fan cover?

Up to roughly 1,600 m² per fan depending on diameter and mounting height. A typical UAE logistics bay is covered by a small grid of fans; we lay out the grid against your racking and clear heights.

Do HVLS fans reduce air conditioning cost?

In conditioned spaces the perceived-cooling effect lets the thermostat be raised 2 to 3 °C for the same comfort, which is a direct energy saving on large AC loads. In unconditioned sheds the fan replaces banks of high-speed fans at a fraction of the power.
