Vehicle Exhaust Systems

Source-capture extraction for garages, workshops, and fire stations.

Vehicle Exhaust Systems

Overview

What it does

Flow Dynamics supplies vehicle exhaust extraction systems across the UAE. These systems capture diesel and petrol tailpipe fumes directly at source, before they disperse into the workshop, to protect mechanics, firefighters, and drivers from carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxides, and fine particulate. The range covers flexible rubber hoses on spring-balanced hose reels, overhead sliding rails with nozzle trolleys, underground trench systems, and automatic magnetic disconnects for fire stations where vehicles must leave in seconds.

How it works

The working principle

A rubber high-temperature hose with a tailpipe nozzle is clamped or magnetically attached to the vehicle exhaust. A centralised extraction fan draws fume directly from the tailpipe through the hose and an overhead duct network, and discharges it outside the building. Hose reels retract automatically when released. Magnetic grabber nozzles drop away cleanly when the vehicle drives off, which is critical at fire stations where a rig must exit within seconds of the tone. Volumetric dampers and VFD fans match extract flow to the number of vehicles running.

Applications

Where it's used

Typical installations across the UAE and wider Gulf include:

  • Automotive dealerships and service centres
  • Fire and emergency services stations
  • Municipal fleet garages
  • Bus and truck depots
  • Military vehicle workshops
  • Vehicle emissions and inspection stations

FAQ

Common questions

How do fire stations use magnetic disconnects?

The magnetic grabber nozzle stays attached during idle and drops away cleanly the moment the vehicle drives off, so a rig can exit within seconds of the alarm with zero manual steps.

How many extraction points can one fan serve?

A centralised VFD fan with volumetric dampers matches extract flow to the number of vehicles actually running, so one correctly sized fan serves a full bay row. Send us the application, airflow or demand figures, and any consultant specification. Our engineers reply with a defended selection, datasheets and submittal documentation. Sizing is always confirmed by an engineer, never by a web calculator.

What hose temperature rating do I need?

Standard workshop duty runs 200 °C hoses; diesel regeneration and heavy equipment push requirements to 400 or 600 °C. We match the hose class to your fleet.
